This is why so many rape cases get thrown out of court

Posted by clubwah on May 13, 2009

The support for Matthew Johns has been sickening.

The support for Matthew Johns has been sickening.

I fucking hate when people close ranks around someone because they are famous. By all means stick by a family member even when they’ve done something rotten, but don’t pretend you have some kind of emotional attachment to some cunt just because you laugh at him on the Footy Show, or because he played football for your club.

The support for that unrepentant bastard Matthew Johns, in light of the Four Corner’s report about a woman whom he and several teammates had sex with, is sickening and just shows just how the tables can so easily be turned on the victims of sexual assault cases.

Some of the comments in support of Johns in the Daily Telegraphweb site are sickening, particularly those by people preporting to be women. Amazingly, going by names, most of the comments condemning Johns and pointing out what he did wrong are by men.

Check out this comment.

NRL players act no different to any young men their age. Maybe in addition to the programs the players are doing, we should be introducing programmes for young women on self respect. Yes NRL players can be degrading and disrepectful to women, but so can any young man that has a dozen or so beautiful women hanging around willing to have sex with just because of who they are.  Posted by: Female of Sydney 4:28pm today

There’s nothing wrong with a woman deciding to have a fling with a couple of rugby players. But I’m sure any fantasies she had of a threesome included mutual respect. And this is my point Female of Sydney – this boys-will-be-boys attitude and the notion that women should have respect for themselves and not get into such situations  is why so many rape cases get thrown out.

What I find so ironic is that I bet a shitload of the fucktards writing in to defend Johns are the same ones who went ape shit when Sheikh Hilaly made his ‘cat meat’ comments.

We’re not talking about a woman who had sex with a guy, regretted it, and called rape. This is a woman who got in way over her head with a bunch of selfish, sexist arseholes, not one of which had the decency to realise that things had gone too far and that what they were doing was wrong.

To defend Johns is to say it’s OK for a guy to start having sex with his girlfriend only to then invite his mates to join in? Just because she said yes does not mean she, to use Johns’ words is ”willing” to have several men gang bang her while others watched. To laugh as a group and pretend she’s nothing more than some kind of rubber doll, is totally unacceptable.

And that’s what’s lost on Johns, and his teammates. They have no idea of the hurt caused by their heinous disrespect for the woman, who was only 19 at the time – yes 19 is young.

Here’s some other choice comments:

This really makes me angry the man was not charged with sexual assualt nor was it , it was a consenual act between people. Funny how she can’t seem to recall any of the staff she worked with that were there or any of the other league players. “Clare” I really hope all this is worth it …. but funny after all this time you have finally come foward… what are you poor is that it?? … You have ruined a legend and I hope amongst all the other things you feel ……. I hope you feel ashamed for making a legend take a step backwards and not being able to lend his knowledge to the younger generation of players out there, and this is coming from another Kiwi too.  Posted by: Anna of Sydney 2:30pm today

Oh, so a woman who is so emotionally traumatised that she hasn’t been able to work for years and was assessed to be suffering enough to receive treatment paid for by the New Zealand government should suddenly harden the fuck up so Johns can keep teaching kids to platy footy. Great to see the sisterhood is so strong.

I don’t condone what happened but Matthew Johns is being used as the scapegoat here. This happened 7 years ago, and there were 6 other players involved why is this being bought up now? Did this woman know what she was doing? yes of course she did! after all it takes two.  Posted by: leonie fenton of sydney 2:29pm today

Yes there’s always a “but” isn’t there – no of course you don’t condone what Johns did. So what if it happened seven years ago. How does that change anything? And yes it does take two – it’s fair to say the poor girl didn’t want it to take eight!

am disgusted by this womans actions in the first place. It is women like her that throw themselves at men that are also to blame for the low opinions some, not all men, have of women. She needs to take responsibility for her actions as well. It was seven years ago – she is only taking it to the media now he is on TV. I don’t condone the actions of the men but I also don’t condone what she did then and is doing now. I am surprised she didn’t take photos so she could make money from them……

There’s an orangutan in your local zoo that’s way more smarter than you Clare.

The most important word in all of this is ‘Consensual’. There was no rape. This girl new exactly what she was doing. And she knows exactly what she is doing now, eight years later, she picks the most high profile member of the bunch and incriminates him above everyone else in her sob story…. Very clever. Player education may be part of it but what about educating our daughters!! Teaching them not to put themselves in this situation. Teaching them that if the offer comes up to have group sex with six football players, they should simply say ‘No’.  Posted by: Rochelle Anthony of Cronulla 2:08pm today

She didn’t consent to having sex with six men! Fuck do these fucktards even read the stories they feel so strongly about?

How to rattle fucktards – make a story from nothing

Posted by clubwah on April 30, 2009

top-gear-guysI’m sick of supposed news stories that are born out of speculation and what-ifs and have no substance whatsoever.

A perfect example could is this story which reported that hot BBC motoring programme Top Gear “might” have to recruit female presenters as part of a “British Government push to make the show more gender and ethnically balanced”.

If you read further down this has not been suggested at all. The “pressure” comes from Dr Louise Livesey, tutor in sociology and women’s studies at Oxford, who apparently accused Top Gear of “entrenched, institutional sexism”.

So, we have one person saying that Top Gear diversify it’s presenters based new government policy and a quote by someone with a vested interest and nothing to do with the show.

Of course the fact this story, accompanied by a poll asking “is this political correctness gone too far?” had no substance whatsoever was lost on the dozens of fucktards who clamoured to get their say on the Herald Sun web site with  comments like:

“Oh so the femos want some bimbo on the show just for equality and nothing about credibility or even intelligence.”

“do I have to now share the Gent’s loo with a woman????… Or do I need to squat?”

“Why can’t I go to Fernwood? I like the look of the all-female gym and would like to join please. “

“Whats next? The Stig being accused of racism for wearing a white outfit? The presenters being racist for not testing Asian cars on a European show? This is plain ridiculous. I dont see how a woman would make this show better. PC gone mad!”

“It seems now that you don’t have a choice with what you want to watch. Political Correctness only comes into play when there are alternative agendas anyway.”

Read the fucking story and lose lose some testosterone instead of brain cells fir a fucking change you stupid sexist fucks. It ain’t gonna happen!

It’s not because Sarah Palin is a woman or a conservative …

Posted by clubwah on November 1, 2008

The Age’s Tracee Hutchison became the umpteenth columnist to speculate that the reason why Sarah Palin has copped a hard time is because she’s a woman, saying that men don’t cop this sort of abuse.

What a lot of rot. If McCain chose a male running mate, who loves guns and killing animals but calls themselves pro-life; makes rape victims pay for rape kits and wants to deny them a chance to abort their unwanted pregnancy; who considers her self experienced in foreign policy because she can see Russia; was accused of abusing her role as Alaskan govorner; and allowed unelected family members to make decisions in her state government, I reckon he’d cop his fair share of shit too.

Sarah Palin cops abuse because she’s a buffoon and dangerous person to have just one step away from the most powerful job on earth.

Rightards find new ways to take the cake

Posted by clubwah on October 10, 2008

Andrew Bolt is still writing about how everyone hates Sarah Palin because she’s a girl, not because she’s an incompetent Thatcherite bitch who in a month’s time could be one step away from yelling out nuclear launch codes to two men, in a bunker under the Colorado Rockies, who have the power to destroy what’s left of the world.

Of course anyone who dared question Bolt’s unconditional support for Palin was shouted down by the winged monkeys who all of a sudden claim that sexual equality has always been central to right-wing ideology.

For example check out this comment by fuckwit Nora Charles: “ …  you are falling into the same trap as your sexist, leftist brothers and sisters.”

The Left, sexist? Isn’t it funny that when Teh Left stick up for women, shit stain like this call it political correctness. But criticise a candidate for one of the most powerful positions in the world because they are incompetent and you cop the sexist tag.

Then there’s this comment which sums up the new-found respect for women in politics from a regular commenter on Bolt’s blog, Merilyn Williams.

Andrew, the ones who have let themselves down here are the so called feminists, the ones who have been calling for women to break the “Glass Ceiling”.
Sarah Palin is a working mother, with five children, a loving and supporting husband, she even made a choice about her body, when informed that her last baby had a problem, another point that the feminists are quite strident about, that it is their bodies, their choice.
In short they should be praising her, after all she praises women who have done well with their lives.

I Googled Merilyn Williams and found her previous sychophanitc comments on Bolt’s blog including the usual Tim Flannery bashing and one defending the Liberal staffers for posting disparaging remarks about Victorian Liberal leader Ted Bailleu – of course Ted is too far to teh left for Merilyn.

I also noticed that Merilyn Williams has never championed other female politicians such as Hillary Clinton and Julia Gillard. Why is that?

I could go one but I’ll leave you with an example of the stupid people whose world views are formed by Andrew Bolt and Today Tonight, like Jay Jantos who in his spare time collects stamps and enjoys enforcing his self-imposed NO JUNK MAIL rule on his letter box.

“Palin doesn’t have any policy positions.  She doesn’t have to.  She is running for VICE-PRESIDENT.”

Heard of Lyndon Baines Johnson you stupid cunt?

‘Sexist’ comments need to be put into perspective

Posted by clubwah on August 1, 2008

Women have a lot more to worry about than Sam Newman

The Footy Show’s Sam Newman is again embroiled in a sexism controversey after a remark about a Tasmanian politician on the show. Sam insists he was inviting the poltician, Tasmania’s Economic Development and Tourism Minister Paula Wriedt, who is rather attractuve, on to the show to campaign for the state’s bid for an AFL team when he said: “It would be worthy of coming on, her.”

The remark was taken by his co-hosts as sexual but he immediately insisted he was taken out of context. Obviously this story is now headlining the news web sites and we won’t hear the last of it.

Regardless of the meaning of Sam’s comment we should take a step back and realise it will hardly damage Ms Wriedt, who I’m sure would accept any apology if it were forthcoming.

At the same time another football related sexism story has appeared online, but will not get the same attention as Sam’s remarks, despite it being far more insidious.

It has been alleged a female paramedic was subjected to sexually explicit remarks while surrounded by naked footballers in a change room in western Victoria, while treating a player who had broken his leg during a game on June 28.

As is usually the case, the keepers of the fucking thugs, the football league and club management, have refused to discuss the allegations, stating they are “speaking with Ambulance Victoria on the matter and that undisclosed “sanctions” had been applied to one of the club’s concerned.

Fuck that! Name and shame the fucking meatheads who did this and ban them from ever playing football again. If not the daily newspapers should stop reading press releases, get behind the truth of the story and if the claims stack up reveal the fuckers for the sexist pigs they are.

Of course this won’t happen because everyone will be on Sam Newman’s back for a remark that would have went over most people’s heads if James Brayshaw hadn’t pulled Sam up.

It would be trivialising sexism if this story were blown out of proportion while the cases that did cause real harm and intimidation continued to go vicrtually innoticed.
