Shame Kevin Andrews, shame

Posted by clubwah on May 17, 2008

Let’s hope Kevin Andrews, a staunch Catholic, has been going to confession to repent his sins, for using the race card to bolster his political Party’s of securing the red neck vote to take it to another election.

Not content with with hanging an innocent man, in Dr Haneef, to hang out to dry, it has been revealed that Andrews puposefully denigrated all African refugees in Australia as criminals, against the device of his on department.

According to The Age’sJewell Topsfield, a confidential Immigration Department briefing to the then minister, written after a spate of crimes on public transport believed to have been committed by young Sudanese men, stressed that studies suggested it was not ethnicity that determined criminal behaviour but a combination of socio-economic problems and other disadvantage.

Topsfield writes, the briefing, dated September 27, 2007, said: “Whatever the background of the perpetrators, it would be wrong to blame all people from a particular migrant group for the behaviour of a few.”

But a week later, Mr Andrews appeared to ignore its advice, and in a classsic example of dog-whistle politics, cited the failure of Sudanese people to integrate as a reason for cutting African refugee numbers - comments which led to anti-Sudanese sentiment to mushroom on the basis of sensationalist and biased reporting in the media - which has incredibly fallen silent on the subject of gang violence by white kids,

What’s even more disgusting is that Andrews’ comments came after he was asked about the fatal bashing of 18-year-old Sudanese refugee Liep Gony in Noble Park - a classic case of turning the tables on the victim for one’s own advantage.

To be fair to Andrews, it’s hardly likely this was all his doing.

Thank God we had the election result we did.

I always thought he looked like a Peter Pencil Head version of Action Man who had been left in front of the Vulcan heater for too long.

But seriously, It’s fucken embarrassing, man. And in this day and age. I agree, luckily Australian’s voted for an alternate government.

They missed their time and place. Germany, in the early 1930s, would have been more ‘them’…

Kevin Andrews, like many KKK members is a regular churchgoer. Doesn’t mean they are Christians though.

Andrews is a nasty piece of work. There is a degree of deliberate ignorance on the part of people like Andrews who use race as some kind of divide, they don’t really know about the people that they’re demonising and they don’t really care anyway.

Our Apex Club hosted some African families at our last family Christmas party and until you have heard first hand accounts of what these people have gone through it is impossible to even begin to grasp the reality of their lives. The kids at the party had spent almost their entire lives in refugee camps in the desert, excluded from the people of the country that they were in and given only the barest essentials to survive. To further victimise people who have already suffered so much is an act of sheer bastardry.

Andrews is an “advisor and honorary patron” to radical pro-life group Life Decisions International. They advocate boycotts against companies producing contraceptives. And Walt Disney. If you have a look at their website (http://www.fightpp.org/show.cfm?page=newyork), they also have a problem with flooring companies, such as Carpet One, Flooring America, Flooring Canada and Flooring One. They’re not keen on the Coach Dairy Goat Farm of Pine Farms, New York either.

I loathe Andrews, his so-called pro-life stance is utter bullshit hypocrisy given he was part of the political party that set about institutionalising child abuse in this country with those stinking camps.

He ought to be bashed with a hammer. Repeatedly.
