Where are her parents?

People fall into crime, I can understand that. What I don’t understand are the people who hang off them, like 18-year old Millie Traynor whose 25-year-old boyfriend Samir Ograzden was shot dead by police during a gun fight in South Melbourne on Tuesday night in which an officer was shot in the leg.

I hope one day Traynor gets out of this scene and realises that the death of her “loving and caring” drug-pushing boyfriend has probably saved her life.

And while she is grieving for Ograzden, who despite his criminal past, would have had endearing qualities and deserves to be mourned, friends and family of the apprentice gangland moll should advise her, for her sake, to disappear and shut the fuck up.

As the wounded police officer still recovers in hospital Traynor has told The Age that she is upset that her boyfriend’s death is being as a political football to get police armed with semi-automatic handguns.

She may have a valid point there, but according to witnesses including a taxi driver and an Age reporter in the cab, it was Ograzden who fired the first shots.

Which is why she won’t get much sympathy by saying: ”My boyfriend was shot by the police, who are meant to be there to serve and protect.”

And that’s exactly what they did.

You cry like a bitch because well off people are going to be means tested for the baby bonus, while uni students, who are trying to live independetly miss out on Austudy because they or their parents earn more than a certain amount, which is well under the $150,000 mark and also incudes the value tied up in the family home.

Your party was in power for 11 years, and not only did you not fix that, you made the criterea even tougher.

And when your mob was in power families who accidentally received more family payments than they qualified for, because they are not fucking Nostradamus and couldn’t accurately predict how much they would earn for the next 12 months, were slugged with fines in the thousands of dollars.

Most of these people were treated like welfare fraudsters even though the reason they earned more than declared is because they worked hard and earned more over-time or freelance payments.

I never saw you opposing the shitful way your government, via that tent-wearing bitch Amanda Vanstone, treated them like criminals, withheld payment to their children, who you so fucking claim to value, and made them pay the money back.

And why is it the Liberals never complained or stopped means testing for the following worthy causes?

• ABSTUDY - Actually we can guess why
• Age Pension - you value all babies but not pensioners
• Assistance for Isolated Children Scheme - don’t you value kids who live out bush?
• Austudy - see above, cunt
• Bereavement Allowance - shame on you
• Carer Payments - gee, with the song and dance you made about carers I actually thought you gave a fuck. Why is this means tested when it saves the government so much money?
• Disability Support Payment - do you only care for healthy babies?
• Family Tax Benefit A & B
• Mature age allowance
• Newstart Allowance
• Parenting Payment - why have a baby bonus when we have this?
• Partner Allowance
• Pension Bonus Bereavement Payment
• Pension Bonus Scheme
• Sickness Allowance
• Special Benefit
• Widow Allowance - widows!
• Widow B Pension
• Wife Pension
• Youth Allowance

Means testing is nothing new, and it is applied to people a lot needier than a couple who decide to have a baby. What’s more disappointing about your decision to criticise the baby bonus means test is that no mainstream political journalist has put all this to you.

I hope all the criticism and shit polling is getting to you.

Harden up working families!

I’m really starting to get sick of the fucking “woe is me” attitude of people who want the government to hold their dick throughout their existence at the urinal of life.

A story in The Age today looked at the magic $150,000 mark which the government nominated as the cut off point for the baby bonus means test and Family Tax Benefit B.

For a start no one is claiming that families on a combined of $150,000 (which is 2 1/2 tims the average salary) are rich, however they are not exactly doing it tough and should be able to go through life, have children and educate them without hand outs from the government.

The Age story looks at the Scibberas Family of Mill Park who bring home $150,000 and “certainly aren’t doing it tough”.

However Mrs Scibberas says the cap should be lifted to $200,000 and complained that her only gain at this week’s Budget was through the tax cuts - what did she want, a fucking yacht?

Mrs Schibberas says, “There doesn’t seem to be any reward for people who have put the hard effort in.”

What reward? Why? Working hard and earning good money to send your kids to good schools and provide a comfortable lifestyle for your family is reward enough. It’s no one’s fault but yours if you’re living beyond your more than reasonable means.

It’s the people who have to decide between paying for their kid’s school camp or the weekly shopping who should be getting all the money we can give them. 

I find it ironic that it was a conservative government, hell bent on keeping its filthy grip on power, that has turned middle-class Australians into welfare whores, who think they are the first generation to have children, buy a house and make a better life for themselves and therefore need all the help they can get.

While I hate the phrase “working families” it’s nowhere as damaging to this country as the term “Howard’s battlers” which has made a generation of well-off middle class people actually believe that battling meant not having a new car or sending your kid to a private school.

Instead of obsessing with the selfishness of people on very good incomes why doesn’t The Age visit a family trying to survive on or below the average wage to put things into perspective.

Harden up you whingeing fucks!

Note: I’ve never been on the dole even when out of work; I gave up Auststudy in favour of working part time (because it was shit) and I managed to change careers, pay off HECS, have two children and build a new home (we’re talking in the past eight years) without the benefit of a fucking baby bonus or first-homebuyers grant, on a fraction of what I earn now - which by the way, when added to Mrs Wah’s income is still well shy of $150,000.

Do I want a medal? No, which is my fucking point.
