The bad month for chair-sniffing West Australian Liberal Leader Troy Buswell just gets worse with untrue rumours, that he once did something “inappropriate” to a quokka, a small marsupial native to Rottnest Island.
In what is surely the political quote of the year (I shit you not this is true) Mr Buswell denied the claims saying: “I don’t shy away away from that at all, but I’m not aware that I’ve caused any offence to a quokka.”

Why don’t you modify this blog now that the real story is out? If you do not, if you let it stand that this crock of shit about Buswell kicking quokkas came from “within the Liberal party”, you’re as culpable and unethical as the jerkoff blogger who perpetrated this appalling rumour-mongering.

It’s evident in the story the blog links to that was just a stupid rumour. Take this post for what it is, the highlighting and piss take of a one of the most bizarre political stories since the same poor bastard at the centre of it admitted to sniffing a chair.
While I admit a bias against the Liberal Party no amount of work by me, or even Rupert Murdoch himself, can do more damage to the WA Liberal Party than this bunch of idiotic misfits have done to themselves.

Um, Clubwah, it is very evident by your blog post that YOU were not “smart enough to know the story was always bullshit”! You claim it came from within the Libs, then close with the implication that Buswell’s denial of quokka abuse was not believable! (There you go…there’s an opening, depending on your honesty or otherwise, to claim that this was not your implication…the truth, though, is obvious).
My point is simply that if you leave your blog as it is at the moment, you are knowingly misrepresenting the facts as you now know them to be. This is mischievous and unethical. You don’t wanna buy into Lib standards, do you?
I note that neither you nor Bron have responded to my point about fighting conservative politics with honesty, rather than bias and the sort of dirt that the Libs are happy to resort to…certainly under the contemptible Howard. OK, I took the bit out about the claims coming from his own Party. That was never the main point of the post – more the fact that I never, ever thought I’d ever see a politician have to deny such a claim.
But while you’re quick to shoot the messenger it’s worth noting that the only reason this story got the coverage it did is because it was linked to Paul Omedei’s claim that there are many more stories to be revealed about Buswell and that he will died “a death of a thousand cuts”.
The masters of anti-Liberal propaganda are the Liberals themselves.

And yes, I agree with you that the Libs are their own worst enemy. There is no need to post lies or unfounded implications about this mob – they’re doing a good job of imploding all by themselves. Stay ethical and attack them with the truth – far more potent than resorting to muck.
Hey Bron, re-read my post. I didn’t say YOU were “mischievous and unethical”. I was referring to Chungwah’s knowingly misrepresenting the facts, and I stated this clearly. Your response seems a bit hysterical! As for my “baseless assumptions about what I am” – I did find your objections to my language smacked of boring suburban standards, and that was the basis on which I made my assessment of you. Wouldn’t call it a “baseless assumption”, then! More like a rash judgement based on a small amount of data! Sorry about that if I got you wrong, but objecting to a few good Chaucerian words of colour was a little tedious of you in my view. Still, polite diplomacy has never been a prominent feature of my presentation, I acknowlege that.

I note that the ones having a shot at me remain up, yet my responses – which ironically enough were just about the only ones I’ve posted not containing “bad language” and were probably less insulting than the ones from others you have left untouched- have been deleted. Real fair.
You know, on my blogsite, I have a genuine no-censorship policy. I hate censorship, and I have found that spats usually blow themselves out. When you start taking sides as you have done here, the whole thing becomes a bit of a power trip for the moderator. If you have a policy, you should exercise equality in its implementation. But fuck, it’s your site. All a bit disappointing from my POV though, as this sort of selectiveness in implementing a supposed policy runs contrary to the true ideals of the blogosphere. Never mind. I won’t be back, but then, you don’t like dissenting or different voices, do you? Have a nice happy playgroup and keep reinforcing your fond notions of yourself as having it all right while the others – the “enemy” – have it all wrong.
